How to play

Aim of the game

The aim of the game is to connect every end-piece around the edge of the board to at least one other end-piece by forming a path with the available runes. Runes are moved by shifting entire rows or columns of runes. Runes on the edge of the board will "wrap" around and appear on the opposite side of the board.

Different runes will behave in different ways, but as a general rule only runes of the same colour can be used to form a path. A path of runes is created by lining up individual runes so that the sigil (or graphic) on the rune lines up with the sigil on the rune beside it. When a path is connected to an end-piece, the magic is allowed to flow through the path, and the path will light up.

Rune types

Standard

The standard rune has no unique properties. Standard runes may form paths with other standard runes or stone runes.

Standard

The stone rune can not be moved and must remain where they are on the game board. Stone runes are "neutral" which means that they may be connected to any other rune type, including black runes.

Standard

Silver runes may be moved like standard runes until they are connected (form part of a path). Once a silver rune forms part of a path it is locked in place and can not be moved. Silver runes may only form paths with other silver runes or stone runes.

Standard

Black runes may be moved like standard runes, and may form paths with other black runes. Black runes may also form paths with stone runes. However, as soon as a connected black rune forms a path with a standard or silver rune which is also connected, this forms "bad magic" and the player must restart the level.
